Labbing results : Get up Low Fair

[Here are the results of labbing I made. This is no game changing mechanic, but maybe a small evolution to Pit's gameplay if  we can develop it (I don't think it is helpful right now).
For a better understanding, I recommand you to slow the videos to 0.25]

A usefull get up option for Pit is Release ledge > Airjump > Fair. Example.
There is also the alternative to lower the hitbox of the Fair. I called it "Get Up Low Fair" because it makes 'GULF', which is funny... (If you have better name please share it).

The advantage I see of the lower hitbox, is that it can shield stab much more easily.
If the opponent is waiting at the ledge holding his shield, maybe we can use GULF to push him out of shield ?
That was the goal of my labbing session.

1) How to input GULF ?

Instead of releasing the ledge holding backward, you should release holding down.
Then you press forward, press A (for Fair) and keep the stick tilted forward. You need to input this as fast as possible.

2) Difference ?

You can see the difference here :
With the standard Fair, Roy gets hit to the leg where low Fair hits his Foot.

3) Does it have disadvantage ?

Does GULF do over regular Fair, but does it have any drawbacks ? If it doesn't, then there is no reason not to go to GULF.

Autocancel
GULF does autocancle, just like regular Fair Get up. Proof in the video below :

Range
GULF has less range than regular Fair. Here are comparisons of the range of the first and last hitbox of the Fairs.

The range loss is not negligable.

3) How effectively can it shield stab the opponent ?

That's the important question, is it effective enough to balance the range loss ?
Well, not as much as I hoped.
Here are examples of when Shield stab does or does not shield stab.

Against Marth
You can see that the shield has to be weared off  quite a bit for GULF to be effective (around 50% used).

5) What can GULF be used for ?

So, yeah... Those are my result.
GULF isn't as effective as I though it would be. And there is an obvious drawback to it. I personally don't plan to use GULF right now.
But there might be a lead.
Here are reflexions I made about GULF :

- If you just shield pressured your opponent with Bair or side B, grab the ledge and GULF.
This can come from multiple situations : your opponent tries to edge guard you, or you are at the edge of the stage, you walk off and Bair.
 Shield pressure Bair applies.

-If you look at the comparison video, GULF only hits Roy twice where regular Fair hits three times. GULF probably autocancels before the third hitbox. Can it open combos ? Is it safer ?

Notes : -It can catch low croucher (like Jigg, Kirby), but so can regular Fair.
